The Public Works Department takes care of maintenance of streets and parks, recycling and garbage disposal and operates and maintains the water and sewer utilities.
- Please remember that sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours after each snowfall and snow is not to be deposited into City streets or alleys.
- Grass and weeds are to be kept mowed to 8" or less and are not to be blown into the streets or alleys.
- Tree branches are to be trimmed 14' high over streets and alleys and at least 12" behind the curb. Also 10' clearance over sidewalks. Also please remember to check that vegetation does not block the view of traffic signs or intersections.
Water/Sewer Utilities
-
Water/Sewer is billed quarterly, typically the middle of the month in March, June, September and December. Water/Sewer applications for service and terminations of service can be found on the City's Forms page.
- As required by the Wisconsin DNR, the public works department may contact you to perform a Cross Connection Inspection at your residence. This inspection requires a public works employee to physically inspect plumbing connections both inside and outside your house to assure there can be no contamination to the public water supply. If you have questions regarding this inspection please contact the public works department.
