The Recycling Center is located at 221 Water Street, Glenwood City, WI 54013 across from the community center. An ID card is required and can be obtained from the City Clerk.
Glenwood City Recycling Center Hours
Tuesdays: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
You will be fined for depositing items after the Recycling Center is closed.
Remember to bring your Recycling Center I.D. card with you to the center. Town of Forest residents are allowed to bring recyclables only to the center. An ID card is required and can be obtained from the Town of Forest clerk.
What can you recycle?
Glass: Clear and brown. No window glass or mirrors. Metal caps, rings or foil must be removed and bottles must be reasonably clean.
Aluminum cans: Can be either whole or crushed.
Tin Cans (bi-metal): Can be whole or crushed and reasonably clean. Labels need not be removed.
Cardboard: AII types of cardboard are accepted. Boxes should be broken down before depositing.
Paper/Newspaper: All residential paper including magazines and newspaper are accepted. Paper needs to be removed from plastic bags before depositing in trailer.
Plastic: PETE (#1) and HDPE (#2) are accepted. These numbers can be found on the bottom of the container. Caps must be removed and containers reasonably clean.

The recycling facility cannot accept appliances, electronics of any kind, construction debris or hazardous materials.
This is not an all-inclusive list. Check with recycling attendant before depositing items not listed. Do NOT leave items in the fenced in area.

BURN SITE
The burn site is located at 1319 320th Street by the City lagoons. A key is required to be checked out to access the burn site. Keys are available from the recycling center attendant during normal recycling center hours or from City Hall Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Sticks, twigs, brush and clean wood (free from nails, screws and other hardware) are accepted. Per DNR regulations, no plywood, painted, stained, varnished, or treated lumber is accepted.
COMPOST SITE
The compost site is located on Glen Meadows Lane. A key is required to be checked out to access the compost site. Keys are available from the recycling center attendant during normal recycling center hours or from City Hall Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Leaves, grass clippings, clean fill and mulch are accepted. All material must be removed from bags.
